Dirty Lines(2022)

Dirty Lines is a Dutch series set in 1987 Amsterdam, when the city became the epicenter of a cultural revolution. Psychology student Marly Salomon takes a job at Teledutch, Europe's first erotic telephone line service, founded by brothers Frank and Ramon Stigter. What begins as a side gig plunges her into a world of rapid wealth, excess, and moral ambiguity. As house music and XTC define a generation determined to live without limits, the phone lines offer anonymous sexual encounters that reshape both callers and operators. The series explores how this new technology and the libertine ethos of late Cold War Amsterdam transform everyone it touches, blurring the lines between opportunity and exploitation in an era of radical social change.
