The White Flag(1988)

The White Flag is a drama series based on true events set in Alexandria, Egypt. It follows a bitter dispute between Silver Maadawi, a wealthy and domineering fish merchant with considerable influence, and Moufid Abu Al Ghar, a retired ambassador. Maadawi uses his power to try to seize an archaeological palace owned by Abu Al Ghar, hoping to claim it as his own residence. The series chronicles the escalating conflict between these two men as they clash over property, status, and control, exploring themes of corruption, ambition, and the abuse of wealth and authority in Egyptian society.
