Fatherland(2021)

Fatherland is a Russian drama following Anton Ebergard, a once-celebrated investigative journalist whose career has collapsed. His latest book flops, he's been fired from a prestigious newspaper, and mounting debts threaten his home. When his daughter is arrested during street protests, Anton faces an impossible choice: compromise his principles for a publicity job with the city council. He accepts the position and immediately warns the corrupt mayor about an impending law enforcement sting designed to catch him accepting bribes. Trapped between his ideals and survival, Anton navigates a moral minefield where every decision carries consequences for both his career and his family.
