Stand By Me is a Chinese historical drama set during the late Tang Dynasty, when powerful eunuchs control the imperial court. After a failed coup against the influential eunuch Qiu Ziliang, Prime Minister Wang Yang's family is massacred. Two young granddaughters escape but are separated. Seven years later, the sisters reunite under assumed identities: one becomes Qiu Ziliang's adopted daughter, the other serves as the new emperor's sword-bearer. Though positioned on opposing sides of a dangerous political struggle, the sisters work in secret to dismantle Qiu Ziliang's grip on power and restore balance to the dynasty. Their reunion tests loyalty, family bonds, and survival as they navigate court intrigue and deadly consequences.
