Tripper's Day(1984)

Tripper's Day is a British sitcom that follows a small London supermarket manager battling daily chaos with an incompetent staff. Leonard Rossiter stars as the well-meaning boss whose efforts to run a tight ship constantly collide with his lazy, unreliable employees. Thames Television's comedy aired on ITV to a largely negative reception, but the series holds a poignant place in television history as Rossiter's final screen role—he died between the broadcast of the second and third episodes. The show was later revived with Bruce Forsyth in the lead as Slinger's Day, and spawned international remakes including Check it Out! in North America and Sweden's Full Frys.
