The Listener is a Canadian drama series following Toby Logan, a gifted paramedic hiding an extraordinary secret: he can read minds. Orphaned and raised in foster care, Toby has spent years isolating himself, confiding his telepathic ability only to his mentor Dr. Ray Mercer. When circumstances force him out of the shadows, Toby must navigate a dangerous new world where his power becomes an asset to those willing to exploit it. Caught between his desire for a normal life and the pull of his abilities, he's drawn into situations far beyond the scope of emergency medicine. The series explores what it means to be truly alone, even when you can hear everyone's thoughts, as Toby discovers that his gift—and his isolation—make him invaluable to people with very different agendas.
