Dollhouse is a science fiction series following Echo, one of several "Actives" whose memories have been erased and replaced with custom personalities for hire. Wealthy clients rent these blank-slate operatives to become anyone they need—a lover, a criminal, a confidant—for dangerous or illicit assignments. Between missions, the Actives are kept in a secret facility called the Dollhouse, with no awareness of their true identities. But Echo begins to retain fragmented memories of her past life, raising unsettling questions about consent, identity, and what it means to be human. As she uncovers the truth behind the program, the line between her implanted personas and her real self grows dangerously thin.
