DAAS Kapital(1991)

DAAS Kapital is an Australian comedy series created by and starring the Doug Anthony All Stars—Paul McDermott, Tim Ferguson, and Richard Fidler—alongside Flacco, Michael Petroni, Bob Downe, and Khym Lam. The title playfully merges the trio's acronym with Karl Marx's Das Kapital. Two seasons aired on ABC in 1991 and 1992, each packed with the group's irreverent sketch and musical comedy. The show's sharp, anarchic humor resonated far beyond Australia, reaching audiences in 18 countries including Japan, Britain, the USA, and Germany. A DVD release in 2013 included new commentary from the All Stars and an original song, accompanied by a one-off reunion performance that celebrated the collection's launch.
