War Flowers(2016)

War Flowers is a Chinese historical drama set in wartime Shanghai, following Han Shuying, a woman forced into an arranged marriage who discovers her husband's deep patriotism. After his death, she commits herself to protecting his family and joining the resistance effort. Alongside her stepdaughter Xie Ruoxue, Han Shuying transforms from a reluctant bride into a devoted fighter for her country. As the two women navigate the dangers of occupied Shanghai, their fractious relationship deepens into genuine kinship forged through shared sacrifice and survival.
