The California Raisin Show(1989)

The California Raisin Show is an animated series that brings the beloved claymation advertising characters to life in cel animation. Spun off from the Emmy-winning 1989 CBS special Meet the Raisins!, the show follows four anthropomorphic raisins—A.C., Beebop, Stretch, and Red—as they navigate a vibrant world populated by singing fruits and vegetables. Though produced by Murakami-Wolf-Swenson rather than in the original claymation style, the series retained creative director and executive producer Will Vinton's vision. Each episode features one or more musical numbers that drive the lighthearted adventures. The show ran for 13 episodes before a sequel special, Raisins: Sold Out!, aired in 1990. It's a colorful, music-driven take on the characters that defined 1980s pop culture.
