Mandrake(2005)

Mandrake is an HBO Latino drama series following Paulo Mandrake, a charismatic defense attorney navigating Rio de Janeiro's criminal underworld. Caught between his wealthy clientele and the city's dangerous subculture, Mandrake uses his charm and legal acumen to broker deals in the shadows. Yet his ambitions are constantly undermined by his own weaknesses—a taste for luxury, a weakness for beautiful women, and a lifestyle that blurs the line between lawyer and fixer. Marcos Palmeira delivers a compelling performance as the morally compromised protagonist, whose talent for manipulation serves him well until the consequences of his choices close in.
