Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire is a British-American comedy series that parodies sword-and-sorcery fantasy tropes. Created by Peter A. Knight and produced by Hat Trick Productions and Media Rights Capital, the show premiered in April 2009 on Comedy Central in the US and on BBC Two in the UK. The series follows a hapless hero and his ragtag band of rebels as they battle an evil empire in a world of magic and monsters, played entirely for laughs. With its irreverent humor and affectionate mockery of fantasy conventions, Krod Mandoon blends absurdist comedy with adventure-serial charm. Though Comedy Central withdrew from the production after the first season, the BBC expressed interest in developing a second series with new funding partners, though no additional episodes materialized.
