Live From Her Majesty's(1983)
Live From Her Majesty's is a British variety show that aired on ITV from 1982 to 1988, broadcast live from Her Majesty's Theatre in London. Presented by Jimmy Tarbuck, the series continued the tradition of spectacular live entertainment pioneered by Sunday Night at the London Palladium, featuring musical performances, comedy sketches, and star guests. The show regularly topped the TV ratings during its run. The programme later relocated to the Piccadilly Theatre in 1986 and then to the Palladium in 1987, with each venue change bringing a new title. The series is remembered partly for a tragic moment on 15 April 1984, when comedian Tommy Cooper suffered a fatal heart attack during a live broadcast, an incident initially mistaken by the audience for part of the performance.
