Day By Day is a Portuguese drama following Marta, a single mother struggling to provide for her two daughters, Susana and Beatriz. When Beatriz is diagnosed with a rare and serious condition requiring expensive surgery abroad, Marta must track down Rodrigo, the girl's wealthy father, to fund the procedure. Rodrigo agrees—but demands custody of his daughter in exchange. Faced with an impossible choice, Marta must decide whether to save her child's life at the cost of losing her. As Rodrigo manipulates the situation to draw closer to Marta, his cousin Gabriel returns to Portugal and falls for her, creating a dangerous love triangle. The series explores sacrifice, motherhood, and the lengths a parent will go to protect their child, even when it means letting go.
