Bidadari Cemetery is a documentary series following three men—Sha'ari, Ariffin, and Faizal—as they participate in the exhumation of Singapore's historic Bidadari Cemetery between 2001 and 2006. Through their work unearthing graves, the men encounter the lives and legacies of the deceased, each discovery prompting reflection on mortality, memory, and meaning. The series captures intimate moments of grief and reverence as the workers grapple with the weight of their task. Rather than treating exhumation as mere logistics, Bidadari Cemetery examines how confronting death reshapes perspective on the living.
