Against Darkness(2022)

Against Darkness is a Hong Kong crime drama that follows Sergeant Ko Fai, a veteran cop haunted by his undercover past, as he's reassigned to a precinct run by the dedicated but emotionally distant Sergeant Fong Chi-kiu. The two gradually build trust while investigating cases that blur the line between their professional and personal lives. Chi-kiu's neglected son falls in with the wrong crowd, while Ko Fai protects Lo Sin-man, a hotpot restaurant owner, and her daughter Siu-po. When Siu-po, an aspiring social media influencer, recklessly exposes the operations of drug dealers for attention, she spirals into danger. Determined to shield their loved ones from the criminal underworld, Ko Fai and Chi-kiu transform into vigilantes willing to take on the city's darkest elements themselves.
