Capitol Critters(1992)

Capitol Critters is an animated series following a cast of mice, rats, and roaches living in the basement and walls of the White House. Produced by Steven Bochco Productions and Hanna-Barbera for ABC, the show premiered in January 1992 but aired only seven of its thirteen episodes before cancellation in March. Cartoon Network later broadcast the complete series in 1995. Capitol Critters was one of several prime-time animated comedies launched in the early 1990s to capitalize on The Simpsons' popularity, competing alongside Fish Police and Family Dog. Despite the pedigree of its production team, the series failed to find an audience and was quickly pulled from the schedule, becoming a footnote in the era's failed attempts to replicate animated sitcom success.
