Pledge of Allegiance is a Chinese historical drama following Li Wu, a man of humble origins who stumbles into membership in the Embroidered Uniform Guards, the empire's secret police force. Though he presents himself as self-serving and articulate, Li Wu harbors genuine integrity and loyalty. Lu Zheng, a seasoned guard with a reserved demeanor and poor social skills, becomes his unlikely partner. Their partnership blossoms into genuine friendship as they navigate treacherous court politics and unravel complex cases rooted in deep-seated rivalries.
