Hysteria! is a comedy-horror series set during the Satanic Panic of the late 1980s. When a beloved varsity quarterback vanishes, a struggling high school heavy metal band of social outcasts sees an opportunity. They lean into the town's sudden obsession with the occult, crafting a reputation as a Satanic metal band to gain attention and credibility. But when a string of bizarre murders, kidnappings, and reported supernatural events grip the community, a leather-studded witch hunt erupts—and the band finds itself squarely in the crosshairs. What began as a calculated image rebrand spirals into genuine danger as the teenagers must navigate suspicion, hysteria, and the very real possibility that they're being framed for something far darker than their stage act.
