Die Augenzeugen is a German thriller series following two teenage boys who witness a brutal triple murder. Jan and Lukas, who've just discovered their attraction to each other, flee the scene but remain visible to the killer. As fear grips them, they choose silence over coming forward, hoping obscurity will keep them safe. Police chief Helen investigates alongside her Munich colleague Corinna and new superior Roman Berg, unaware of the boys' involvement. The series balances the mounting psychological pressure on the teenagers with the investigation closing in around them, exploring how trauma and shame can trap people into dangerous complicity.
