Painting Birds with Jim and Nancy Moir is a comedic ornithological series that follows artist Jim and his wife Nancy as they travel across Britain's most beautiful landscapes to paint native bird species. Each weekend, the couple visits a different region, joined by celebrity guests, local birdwatchers, artists and conservation experts who guide them through forests, wetlands and bird sanctuaries. Their mission: create an original artwork celebrating the area's unique birds within two days. From grouse to goshawks, bitterns to bearded tits, Jim and Nancy sketch and paint their subjects in meditative sessions, drawing inspiration from the wild countryside around them. The series blends art, nature and humour as the couple discovers Britain's feathered inhabitants and the landscapes they inhabit.
