Emu's World(1982)

Emu's World is a British children's series that premiered in 1981 on ITV, created by ventriloquist Rod Hull and Central Independent Television. The show centers on Rod and his mischievous puppet Emu, who live in the Pink Windmill alongside the green witch Grotbags and her bumbling assistant Croc. Each episode follows Grotbags's schemes to capture Emu and harness its supposed "special powers" to control the world's children. The Pink Windmill Kids, drawn from the Corona Theatre School, defend their home and perform musical numbers throughout. Hull's iconic chanted catchphrase—"There's somebody at the door"—became the show's signature moment, triggered whenever a visitor rang the doorbell of the windmill, which responded with a loud sneeze. The series blended comedy, adventure, and musical entertainment for its young audience.
