Unchained Medley is a Hong Kong series that blends romance with mystery across time. Pop musician Ding Yat-chun retreats to a quiet village to escape a plagiarism scandal and his recurring nightmares. When he opens an old costume trunk in his rented house, he releases the ghost of Wan Lau-fong, a celebrated Cantonese opera diva who died in the 1990s under unclear circumstances. Lau-fong has lost most of her human memories and desperately seeks her former love, Kuk Hang-wan. Yat-chun agrees to help her search, and as they grow closer, genuine affection develops between them. But their connection draws dangerous attention—someone with secrets tied to Lau-fong's death emerges from the shadows, determined to bury the truth at any cost. The series explores how two lost souls find solace in each other while uncovering the dark mystery that binds them together.
