The Time of Fear(2007)

The Time of Fear is an Egyptian drama following Fadel, a customs official who abandons his comfortable life to pursue spiritual redemption. After leaving his second wife Badiaa, he renounces bribery, takes a humble post in the archives, and turns toward faith. As Fadel navigates his transformation, he watches his four adult children navigate their own paths: Sobhi builds a sheep trading business, Hussein fights for leftist causes, Zakia forges an independent life, and Zahra embraces religious devotion. The series examines how one man's crisis of conscience ripples through a family, exploring themes of morality, faith, and generational conflict against the backdrop of modern Egypt.
