Donkey Kong Country is an animated series set on Kongo Bongo Island, where the mighty Donkey Kong has been chosen by the magical Crystal Coconut to become the island's future ruler. To prove himself worthy, he must guard the artifact from those who would seize it—especially the villainous King K. Rool and his Kremling army, who scheme to conquer the island. Joined by his best friend Diddy Kong, his mentor Cranky Kong, and his love interest Candy Kong, Donkey Kong balances his heroic responsibilities with the simpler pleasures of island life, including his passion for bananas. The series follows his adventures as he defends his home while navigating friendship, romance, and the weight of destiny.
