Ciranda de Pedra(1981)

Ciranda de Pedra is a Brazilian series set in 1940s São Paulo that traces the fractured life of Laura, a free-spirited woman devoted to the arts whose marriage to the rigid, wealthy Natércio Prado becomes unbearable. After a traumatic episode, Natércio has her committed to an asylum. When they separate, the family splinters: Laura keeps her youngest daughter Virgínia while Natércio gains custody of Otávia and Bruna. Frail and destitute, Laura moves into the home of Daniel, her neurologist, who believes her suffering is physical rather than psychological—and harbors romantic feelings for her. Laura conceals a crucial secret: Virgínia is actually Daniel's child.
