Brødrene Dal(1979)

Brødrene Dal is a Norwegian comedy series created by the humour trio KLM, airing across four seasons from 1979 to 2005, with a fifth installment released as a film in 2010. Drawing inspiration from Monty Python's Flying Circus, the show features the three performers playing nearly every character, often juggling multiple roles within single episodes. Each season follows a loose main plot threaded through a collection of semi-related and absurdist sketches. The first series, Professor Drøvels Hemmelighet, frequently abandons its narrative entirely for entire episodes before snapping back to the storyline at the last moment. Later seasons tighten the structure, anchoring sketches more firmly to the central plot. The result is a distinctly Norwegian take on sketch comedy that balances character work with surreal, tangential humour.
