The Good Guys is a crime comedy series set in Dallas, following washed-up detective Dan Stark and his new partner Jack Bailey. Once a celebrated hero in the 1970s for saving the Governor's son, Dan has spent thirty years drowning his faded glory in alcohol and nostalgia. Jack is an ambitious, by-the-book detective whose sharp tongue and self-sabotaging habits have landed him in the department's basement, handling petty theft cases nobody wants. Saddled with the thankless job of partnering with the department's most unreliable detective, Jack must navigate Dan's unpredictability while trying to prove himself. Their mismatched dynamic drives the show as they tackle cases together, blending Dan's street smarts and Jack's determination against their shared dead-end assignment.
