Father of the Pride(2004)

Father of the Pride is an animated series that aired on NBC in 2004, following a family of white lions living in Las Vegas. The patriarch performs in a Siegfried & Roy show while balancing his role as head of household. Produced by DreamWorks Animation under Jeffrey Katzenberg, the show arrived during a brief wave of CGI-animated prime-time network television. Despite significant promotional efforts, Father of the Pride failed to gain traction with audiences and was canceled after just one season. Production and broadcast schedules were further complicated by Roy Horn's real-life on-stage injury, which occurred during the show's development.
