ITV Play of the Week(1955)

ITV Play of the Week is a British anthology series that brought major theatrical works to television between 1955 and 1974. Produced by Granada Television, the show presented roughly five hundred ninety-minute episodes drawn from both established and contemporary playwrights. Each week offered a self-contained drama, ranging across genres and styles. The first season also includes plays from the H.M. Tennant Globe Theatre series, some of which aired as official Play of the Week episodes while others served as regional alternatives across ITV's network. The series became a landmark platform for bringing stage drama to British audiences during television's golden age.
