Goliath Awaits is a science-fiction drama that imagines the extraordinary survival of a World War II passenger liner torpedoed by a German U-boat. Sections of the hull remain sealed and airtight, allowing hundreds of passengers and crew to endure in the sunken wreck. Over decades, these survivors establish a tightly controlled underground society with strict rules and hierarchies, cut off entirely from the world above. Decades later, a modern diving expedition discovers the wreck and makes contact with the isolated community, forcing both worlds to confront each other. The film explores themes of adaptation, survival, and the clash between two radically different ways of life—one born of necessity in the depths, the other shaped by the passage of time on the surface.
