In a Good Way(2013)

In a Good Way is a Taiwanese coming-of-age series set in summer 1995, following childhood friends Zheng Ren Wei and Lin Jia En after their college entrance exams. When Zheng passes and heads to Taipei for university, Lin fails the test and finds herself stranded in the countryside. Refusing to accept their separation, Lin impulsively decides to pursue Zheng to the city, enrolling in her final year of high school there instead. The series captures the bittersweet mix of ambition, friendship, and youthful determination as these two navigate diverging paths that unexpectedly converge again. Set against the vibrant backdrop of 1990s Taiwan, In a Good Way explores what it means to chase your dreams—and the people you chase them with.
