Sapan Dao is a 1999 Thai television miniseries adapted from Thommayanti's 1993 bestselling novel of the same name. Directed by Thapakorn Disayanon and starring Art Supawatt Purdy and Sririta Jensen, the drama explores social themes central to the source material. Originally developed for Channel 5, the series was picked up by Channel 7, Thailand's most-watched network, for its Wednesday and Thursday primetime slots. The show became one of the year's biggest hits and launched Art to stardom.
