The Name of the Rose(2019)

The Name of the Rose is a historical mystery series set in Northern Italy during 1327. Franciscan monk William of Baskerville and his young apprentice Adso of Melk arrive at an isolated Benedictine abbey high in the Alps, ostensibly to mediate a theological dispute between the Franciscan Order and the Avignon papacy. Instead, they discover themselves drawn into a dark puzzle of unexplained deaths unfolding within the abbey's walls. As bodies accumulate and secrets emerge, William must use his intellect and investigative skills to uncover the truth before more monks fall victim.
