RobiHachi is a sci-fi comedy series set in Neo Tokyo in the year G.C. 0051. Roby, an unlucky freelance writer in his thirties, finds himself drowning in debt after a string of professional and personal failures. When a street thug steals his bag, a kindhearted freeter named Hatch comes to his rescue. The two couldn't be more different—Hatch despises dishonesty while Roby just wants an easy life. The next day, Roby discovers Hatch works as a debt collector for the loan shark he owes money to. Desperate to escape, Roby blasts off into space aboard a ship, planning a pilgrimage to Iscandar, a legendary planet said to bring happiness to those who reach it. To his shock, Hatch is already aboard. The mismatched pair embarks on an unexpected journey across the Galaxy Highway toward their distant destination, their opposing personalities clashing at every turn.
