Rich and Poor(2019)

Rich and Poor is a Turkish drama series set in Istanbul, where two families live in the same neighborhood but worlds apart. The Berringilles struggle to make ends meet in their modest home at the foot of a slope, while their wealthy relatives, the Erdemlilers, enjoy every comfort. Aysel, caught between these two worlds, refuses to depend on her rich relatives' charity any longer. She rejects their hand-me-downs and yearns for independence and dignity. As the families navigate class divisions and family ties, tensions rise over pride, survival, and what it truly means to belong. The series explores how proximity and kinship cannot bridge the gap between vastly different lives.
