Momentary Lapse of Reason is a Hong Kong series that follows two corrupt and honest cops caught between duty and survival. Gam Wah, a detective willing to take bribes, investigates human trafficking alongside his principled colleague Sum Yat Yin. When Gam Wah meets Leung Sam, a celibate woman who survived kidnapping as a child, her hatred of corruption and attraction to Sum Yat Yin's integrity challenge him. After a bribe leads to a witness's death, Gam Wah's conscience awakens, but the unwritten codes binding police and criminals run too deep. As Sum Yat Yin faces demotion in a power struggle between businessmen and detectives, his relationship with Leung Sam fractures.
