Pappyland(1993)
Pappyland is a live-action children's series that aired on TLC from 1996 to 1999, following Pappy Drewitt, an artist and prospector living in a magical cabin surrounded by peculiar creatures and characters. Created by Jon Nappa and developed by award-winning children's writer Benette Whitmore, the show centered on Pappy's drawing—the heart of each half-hour episode. Alongside music, dance, and gentle life lessons, Pappyland featured extensive bluescreen effects to bring its bizarre world to life. A standout feature was the "Hall of Frames" segment, where viewers could see their own artwork displayed on screen and in the closing credits. Cartoonist Michael Cariglio starred as Pappy, bringing the character's creative spirit to life across more than 65 episodes before the series ended in 1999.
