Joy of Life is a Chinese fantasy series that weaves together past and present. Zhang Qing, a college student majoring in cultural history, writes a historical fiction to impress his professor—a story in which he reimagines himself as Fan Xian, a young man raised in a remote seaside town in the Kingdom of Qing. Guided by a mysterious mentor and a blind watchman, Fan eventually travels to the capital, where he faces trials that test his character. The narrative follows his journey as he navigates court intrigue and personal challenges while staying true to his principles of justice and integrity, ultimately forging his own remarkable path.
