The New Archies(1987)

The New Archies is a children's animated series that reimagines the iconic Archie comic characters as junior high students navigating life in Riverdale. Produced by DIC Entertainment and originally broadcast on NBC in 1987, the show follows Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Jughead Jones, Reggie Mantle, and their classmates through the ups and downs of early teenage years. Only thirteen episodes were produced during its single season, though the series found new audiences through reruns on The Family Channel and Toon Disney throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. A companion comic book series was also created to expand the show's universe.
