Tribal(2020)

Tribal follows Samantha Woodburn, an interim tribal chief tasked with leading the Tribal Police Force across four Indian Reserves surrounding a major city. When the Federal Justice Department takes control of the force under the guise of inclusion and collaboration, Woodburn must navigate political pressure while proving herself in a male-dominated institution. Paired with Chuck "Buke" Bukansky, a weathered Metro Police detective, she confronts bureaucratic obstacles and personal friction as she works to bridge two worlds. The series explores the clash between tribal sovereignty and federal oversight, examining how Woodburn fights institutional resistance while building credibility in an unfamiliar system. Caught between political agendas and genuine community needs, she discovers that real change requires more than good intentions.
