Ballet is a drama series that follows Ruta Myers, a Soviet prima ballerina turned world-renowned choreographer, as she returns to Russia after nearly four decades to stage a performance at the country's premier ballet theater. Her homecoming forces her to confront old friends and rivals who now hold influential positions in Russian ballet, most notably Andrei Pronin, the theater's artistic director and her former lover. As Ruta navigates the professional demands of her ambitious production, dormant feelings and resentments resurface between them, complicating both their personal and professional lives. With significant money, prestigious careers, and artistic vision on the line, Ruta finds herself caught in a web of ambition, jealousy, and backstage intrigue that extends far beyond the art of dance itself.
