BNA is an anime series set in a 21st-century world where beast-people have begun revealing their hidden existence to humanity. Michiru Kagemori, an ordinary human girl, suddenly transforms into a tanuki beast-person and flees to Anima City, a special district built a decade earlier as a sanctuary where beast-people can live freely. There she meets Shirou Ogami, a wolf beast-person who despises humans. As Michiru and Shirou work together, she discovers the struggles, daily lives, and joys of the beast-people world—a reality she never knew while human. Driven to uncover why she transformed, Michiru becomes entangled in an unexpected conspiracy that threatens everything she's come to understand about both worlds.
