Dark Horse(2024)

Dark Horse is a Danish series following 17-year-old Anna and her mother Eva as they relocate from China to a small provincial town under unclear circumstances. Eva has dragged Anna across the world in pursuit of romantic adventures, leaving a wake of failed relationships behind them. Over the years, their bond has become deeply dysfunctional—Eva's controlling nature has made Anna desperately eager to please her mother, even as it damages her own sense of self. The series explores the complex, codependent relationship between them as they attempt to build a new life in Denmark, examining how a parent's restlessness can shape a child's identity and emotional survival.
