Inbound Troubles is a Hong Kong comedy series following Ng Ka-yee, an ambitious tour guide whose travel agency dreams collapse after he's swindled into bankruptcy. As he struggles through his final months of debt, his girlfriend Shuk-ching abandons him for his best friend, leaving Ka-yee adrift. His luck shifts when he meets Yik Suet-fei, a newly arrived social worker, alongside his Dongguan cousin Choi Sum, who harbors pop star ambitions, and Monrole, a washed-up singer perpetually hunting free meals. Complications mount when his sister Chi-ching returns from Taiwan, falsely claiming to have finished her master's degree. The series mines comedy from clashing cultures and lifestyles between Hong Kong and mainland China, as Ka-yee navigates personal heartbreak, family chaos, and unexpected connections amid his financial ruin.
