Max Headroom(1987)

Max Headroom is a science fiction series set in a dystopian future where television networks wield absolute power. When Network 23's star reporter Edison Carter discovers a dangerous secret that threatens the station's control, he's silenced in a staged accident. His consciousness is then uploaded into a computer to create Max Headroom, the world's first self-aware artificial TV host. Trapped between his corporate creators and his human counterpart, Max must navigate a world where ratings and ratings alone determine survival. The series explores whether Max will become a tool of the network or a rebel force capable of toppling the system from within, all while Carter fights to reclaim his identity and expose the truth.
