Pati is a Polish drama series following a determined teenager struggling to keep her family afloat. With the electricity cut off and rent unpaid, Pati works to support her two younger siblings while their mother Julita drowns her responsibilities in alcohol and drugs. Pati's own ambitions—she's applied to culinary school in Sopot—hang in the balance as local drug dealer Sony begins pressuring her to settle her mother's mounting debts. When Pati discovers Julita has been dealing to survive, she turns to Krystian, a classmate with feelings for her, to help pay Sony off. But her mother's addiction proves stronger than any solution. Raw and unflinching, the series examines poverty, family obligation, and the limits of a young person's resilience.
