Quartet(2011)

Quartet is a Japanese drama following three damaged individuals brought together by a dangerous undercover mission. Shun, a third-generation descendant of a Japanese orphan abandoned in China during World War II, teams up with Takeru, a reckless young man haunted by his family's murder, and Kasumi, whose own traumatic past mirrors theirs. Hired by police officer Kuchinawa to infiltrate a drug cartel operating in Chinatown, the trio must learn to trust one another while navigating the criminal underworld. As they work the case, each character confronts their personal demons and discovers unexpected strength through collaboration. The series balances tension and character development, exploring how broken people can heal through shared purpose and genuine connection.
