Rides(1992)

Rides is a British television series that aired on the BBC from 1992 to 1993, spanning two seasons of six episodes each. The show follows Patrice Jenner, a former Royal Corps of Transport warrant officer played by Jill Baker, as she establishes an all-women taxi firm and recruits a diverse team of drivers including Scarlett, Janet, Sue-Lyn, Aileen, Aggie and George. The first season focuses on building the business, while the second delves into the personal lives of the women, particularly Patrice's complicated relationship with her teenage daughter Beki. The ensemble cast includes Jesse Birdsall and later James Purefoy as Patrice's love interest Julian.
