Rockstar(2005)

Rock Star is a competition series that follows aspiring singers from around the world vying to become the lead vocalist of an established rock band. Hosted by Brooke Burke and Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro, the show premiered on CBS in July 2005. In the first season, Australian rock legends INXS selected J.D. Fortune as their new frontman. The second season featured a supergroup called Rock Star Supernova, a hard rock collaboration that chose Lukas Rossi as lead singer. Produced by Mark Burnett and David Geffen, the series combined high-stakes auditions with live performances, testing contestants' vocal ability, stage presence, and chemistry with the featured band. Rock Star captured the competitive spirit of music talent shows while offering winners a genuine shot at joining a working professional group.
